Description
1960 Beechcraft M35 Bonanza — N7747B
A V-tail that gets flown, not polished. N7747B lives in a hangar at Ellington Field (KEFD) on the south side of Houston and its owner flies it regularly, which is exactly what you want in a 65-year-old Beechcraft: an airplane that is current, sorted, and working — not a project.
Engine and prop — the expensive question, answered. The Continental IO-470-C (250 HP, fuel injected) was overhauled by Western Skyways in May 2020 and installed that June. As of the August 2026 annual it has about 900 hours since overhaul, which puts it under half-way to TBO with years of flying left. The McCauley two-blade constant-speed prop was overhauled at the same time (Texas Aircraft Propeller, March 2020), resealed in 2021, and received a new bulkhead assembly in 2023. Engine and prop carry matching times.
Panel — set up for real instrument flying. Garmin GNS 430W WAAS GPS/Nav/Com backed by a King KX 125 second Nav/Com, Garmin GMA 340 audio panel, S-TEC System 55 two-axis autopilot with yaw damper, King HSI, and Garmin GDL 82 ADS-B Out on a Narco AT-150 transponder. Pitot-static and transponder certifications were done in April 2026, so the IFR paperwork is current through spring 2028.
Airframe — 7,457 hours, hangared, annualed 8/7/2026. The airframe total time is read straight off the annual entries in the log (7,457.5 hours at the 8/7/26 annual). Full strip and repaint in April 2006 (JetGlo white with charcoal, gray and deep-red accents) and a complete leather interior in April 2005; both have held up well in a hangar. Beryl D'Shannon speed-sloped windshield, Cleveland brakes, late-model wing tips with Whelen strobes, LED landing lights, Rosen visors, dual control arm installed in 2026, new tires and tubes in 2024–25, new vacuum pump and new landing-gear motor.
Damage history, stated plainly. N7747B had a gear-up landing in December 2019. It was professionally repaired and returned to service, the logbooks document the work, and the engine and propeller were both overhauled in spring 2020 before it went back to flying. It has passed every annual since. A repaired and documented gear-up is a line in the logbook, not a mystery — look at it during pre-buy with your mechanic, and it is priced accordingly.
Logbooks. Airframe, engine and propeller logs. The prior ten years are available digitally on request; the full set is available at pre-buy.
